Dale was born January 23,1953 in Bellingham. He was raised in a Christian home and graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1971. Not much than a year later Dale married Marlene Dykstra, they have 4 children and five grandchildren.
Dale enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, and playing with his grandchildren.
Dale was employed by Dejong Packing Co. for 13 years and then worked a year full time at his father-in-laws dairy and part time for many years after that. In 1985 he started at Kiels, Inc. in sales, and has remained in the store after being bought by Scholten's Equipment 20 years later.
